CompuTouch Keypad Polling Events:
CompuTouch's involvement with meeting events ranges from very small meetings
of five or six participants using keypads to larger 500 or 1000 plus keypad
event. A few examples of the types of events we've recently been involved in:
- A well known pharmaceutical firm uses a touchpad system from
CompuTouch to educate doctors and other medical personnel who run clinical
trials. Typically there are up to 60 attendees sitting at up to nine tables,
with one keypad per table. For part of the training, students respond to
multiple choice questions by first discussing with their group and then
using the keypad to respond with the tables answer. These are correct answer
questions and we run the entire meeting as a team competition.
- Annual general meetings recently where the participants use
keypads to vote either "in favour", "opposed" or "abstain" on resolutions.
At times they may also vote on amendments to the resolutions including: to
amend, to table, to defeat, to refer to committee, etc. In some cases the
keypads are used to elect delegates, sometimes in a vary elaborate process.
- We've worked a number of large game show meetings where each table
of 8 or 10 shares one, two, or three keypads. Games formats are similar to
Trivia Pursuit, Who Wants to be a Millionaire or Jeopardy. A typical meeting
will have three rounds of 8 or 10 questions each, with each round a little
more difficult and worth a few more points. At the end of each round we'll
display a scoreboard indicating how well the top teams are doing.
