OTI Polling Products:

Option Technologies Interactive, LLC (OTI) has two polling software products:

OptionFinder® is the most widely used interactive wireless audience response system in the world. It was created as a facilitator's tool and remains OTI's flagship product. OptionFinder's extensive and powerful features support facilitators needing a dynamic tool suited to the nature of face-to-face interaction. CompuTouch has been working with OptionFinder for over fifteen years, using it in meeting of all sizes — a few participants in a boardroom to over 2000 in a convention hall.

OptionPower is a sister product from the same company. OptionPower is an add-in to Microsoft PowerPoint (2000, XP, 2003), which allows you to create polls and results graphs in PowerPoint. OptionPower is particularly well-suited to: training, market / consumer research, and continuing medical education (CME) meetings, especially those meetings where PowerPoint shows have already been created. OptionPower has been designed so that anyone reasonably familiar with PowerPoint can, in short order, create polls and run a meeting. Ease-of-use features include:

  • A system-ready wizard for setting up and testing the keypad system at meeting time
  • Simple PowerPoint controls and native PowerPoint shapes, objects, charts, backgrounds, etc. so you can easily add polling and results graphs to any PowerPoint show.
  • Which to use?

2-axis XY graphs (i.e. impact / likelihood format) are an integral component.

Basically any graph format that PowerPoint can create — bar, pie, etc.
When to choose When the meeting involves a "process" - control / risk self-assessment, strategic planning, prioritizing a pre-seeded or on-the-fly list of items, ranking strategic initiatives, etc. For training, employee surveys, plenary talks, conference evaluations, fun events / game shows, or anytime you want to add stand-alone polls to an existing PowerPoint presentation.
